I don't like it. Not A-Rod -- hard not to like a guy who's getting it from a rock star billionaire who still looks good at whatever age Madonna says she is. It's instant replay I can't stand. (At least not to review home runs. Intimate shots of - never mind ...)
Somehow it's not baseball. Football, all right. That's a sport where brute force and technology must mesh. But baseball . . . hell, if we can't complain about the umpires, all we're left to bitch at are the outrageous prices.

I agree. This weeks Sports Illustrated quotes Sweet Lou Pinella as saying he wants to be able to throw a flag on the field without being tossed from the game. What's next? i.e, we need to be fair to all the millionaires playing the game so let's not keep score lets just let them play and we'll pay them. We'll sell a beer and hot dog for $30 and the fans will still show up. I am amazed that the umps union allowed it to happen. I love it that ARod was the first. This guy just can't stay away from the spotlight, even when he's not trying..........Chris......
