Continuing the questions-writers-get-asked meme*:

Why do you write?

a) For the money.

b) To find out something I didn't know before. Sometimes about the world. Sometimes about history. Sometimes about people . . . Whether the work is fact or fiction, or some combination of the two, I always learn something.

All projects - from video game concepts to biographies of major World War II generals - combine both a & b in some manner. But the funny thing is, sometimes I take a project thinking the reason is more a than b, only to find b predominates.

Hasn't worked the other way yet . . .

* I'm seeing this word everywhere this week. Someone should do a meme meme . . .
